Announcing the Mom to Mom Gratitude Gala & Giveaway!

Mom2MomGratitudeAs we head into the hectic holiday season, November offers us a sacred space to reflect on the many blessings in our lives. During this month of harvest and bounty, I encourage you to take time with your family to note the blessings each day yields.

Here are some ways to practice more gratitude–and feel happier and more connected than ever this month.

  • Go around the table each evening with your family and share something you are each thankful for that day. Remember, even the littlest moments count!
  • Take two minutes each day to reflect on the blessings in your life.
  • Write down three things you are grateful for in a gratitude journal.
  • If you already journal, note something you are grateful for that day before recording your daily entry.
  • Start a family Gratitude Jar. Invite your family to drop in notes about daily events that made them feel thankful. Read through the notes over Thanksgiving dinner.
  • Write a letter to someone who made a difference in your life.
  • Share your gifts with others by donating to a food pantry, helping with a coat drive or inviting a neighbor with no family nearby to join you for Thanksgiving dinner.

  1. Gratitude is a powerful practice. I sometimes look back over my gratitude journal and even, or maybe especially, during rough times, there was always something to be grateful for.
