Here’s To Spring!

Okay, I admit, it doesn’t look much like spring outside today with the piles of snow mocking me outside the window, but on the bright side it is melting, and I can smell the earthy scent of spring. Easter truly ushers in spring in my book–no matter what mother nature’s agenda might be.

Easter doesn’t get as much attention and publicity as Christmas, but I’ve always enjoyed the holiday not only for spiritual reasons but also as a symbol of renewal. The colors popping up after a cold, gray winter are always a welcome sight.
Are you looking for new ideas to celebrate Easter with your family this year? Please check out my post in ParentingSquad.com, Seven Memorable Ways to Celebrate Easter.
As for me, I’m looking forward to learning how to make Ukrainian Paska with my mother this weekend. I rarely get the opportunity to cook with her, and I’m excited about trying something new that perhaps channels a tradition from my ancestors.
And, even if you don’t celebrate Easter, I wish you a beautiful start to spring! Hopefully, we can firmly shut the door on this very long winter and look forward to spending more time outside in milder weather with our families!
